Star Trophy - Archer Grand Prix

'King' Curran climbs to title

Versatile Paul Curran confirmed his road race talents with an outstanding ride in the Wincanton Wheels Classic in Buckinghamshire.

With superb climbing and sprinting form, he took the ling of the mountains title over the 108-mile course, which included many difficult climbs of the Chiltern hills.

Fellow Manchester Wheeler Pete Sanders won in a time of 4-22-32 and together, they secured valuable points in the Star Trophy series.

Overall, Paul was placed seventh.
