Freisland International Team Time Trial

Looking good for the World's

Britain finished third in an international team time trial held at Friesland, Holland last week. The team of Paul Curran, Deno Davie, Wayne Randle and Nick Barnes covered the 100 kilometre event in 2-7-4, against the winning Dutch team's 2-3-34.

"It was a good performance from the boys as it was their first ride together," said national coach Doug Dailey.

"I think the team will be able to gain another kilometre an hour once they get working together. It is on the cards that this foursome will be the basis for the World's team time trial squad," Dailey said.

The winning Dutch team which recorded 2-3-34, included three of the team that won the gold medal at last year's world championships.
